DIY: Stud Earring Holder

Ok! Here is the second “Jewelry Organization” project I have for you guys!  This one is just so cute…I don’t know how else to describe it!  It’s miniature and I find it very useful for all those stud earrings I’m always losing.  Also, depending on how many branches it has, it’s also great for rings and other small earrings.  I spray painted mine white, which just gives it a classy look.  Kind of Anthropologie-ish, don’t you think?  Maybe it’s the bird…

OK!  Here is what your need to scurry about and collect 🙂

This is the air dry clay I used.  You can use any brand.  Yeah I forget to put it in the other picture 😛

  • Small tree branch
  • Scissors
  • Small lid or saucer
  • super glue or hot glue
  • Spray paint or acrylic craft paint
  • Air dry clay
  • Oven bake clay (this is for the additional bird and nest I added.  Air dry would work for this too, I just prefer the oven bake.).

To start out, trim your branch to the desired size and cut the bottom so that it is flat, like this.

Now use your super glue or hot glue to glue the branch onto the lid.

Grab som air-dry clay and press it onto the lid and around the tree, going up the trunk a bit.

If you want to add some additional details, use some clay (either air dry or oven bake will work) and make a few extra decorations.  A flower, a bird, a nest, whatever you like.  Bake if using oven bake clay.

Let the clay around your tree dry overnight.  Then use super glue or hot glue to attach any decorations you are adding.

Spray paint your tree or paint with acrylic craft paint, add jewelry and display!

Isn’t is just precious!?  Super useful too!  Hope you guys enjoy!
